Technical Formatting of the Article

The manuscript must contain the following information:

  • IRSTI (International Rubricator of Scientific and Technical Information);
    • Information about the authors – full name, ORCID iD number, affiliation (place of work, academic degree, city, country), e-mail;
    • Title of the article;
    • Abstract;
    • Keywords;
    • Main text of the article;
    • Notes (if necessary) at the end of the article;
    • List of references;
    • “References” – transliterated list of references in Latin script.

The structure of the article (You can use the TEMPLATE for preparing your manuscript):

International Rubricator of Scientific and Technical Information (IRSTI) – indicates the field of scientific knowledge within which the research was conducted. It is taken from the international scientific and technical information rubricator and is placed in the upper right corner.

On the next line, information about the authors is provided:

In the center of a new line, the full names of the authors are written in capital letters and bold font. If there are several authors, their information is presented indicating the main author (the main author’s name is listed first). Affiliations are marked with superscript numbers (1), (2), etc. (place of work, academic degree, city, country).
The e-mail addresses of all authors must be indicated, and an asterisk (*) is placed after the name of the corresponding author. Example: DOSAY KENZHETAEV1 ID, NURZHAN OMAROV2* ID, KALZHAN BINAZAROV3 ID. If authors are from the same institution but have different academic degrees, each author is assigned a separate superscript number.

After skipping one line, full affiliation details (place of work, academic degree, city, country, e-mail) are provided according to the superscript numbers. Each affiliation is written on a new line.

An ORCID iD number with a link to the author’s profile must be provided next to the author’s name (see the Example).

Abstract The abstract reveals the content of the article, the research problem, and the aim of the study. It presents important facts, the author’s main arguments and position, as well as the research results.
The recommended length of the abstract is 150–200 words.

Keywords  are words that are most important in the article and describe the research topic and field as accurately as possible. They include key concepts, issues, geographical terms, and other relevant aspects of the article. Both single words and word combinations may be used.
The recommended number of keywords is 5–10.

The IRSTI, author information, article title, abstract, and keywords must be provided in Kazakh, English, Russian, and Turkish.

Main Text of the Article

  1. Introduction (relevance of the research problem);
  2. Research Methods (methods used to achieve the research objectives);
  3. Discussion (review of works by scholars who have studied this topic);
  4. Results (main part of the article);
  5. Conclusion;
  6. Acknowledgements (if the article was funded by a scientific foundation).

References to sources in the text are made using round brackets.
For monographs, the author’s surname, year of publication, and page number after a colon are indicated: (Kenzhetaev, 2021: 84).
For archival documents, the abbreviated name of the archive, file number, and page number after a colon are indicated: (CSA RK, 26:4).

The bibliographic list is placed at the end of the article under the heading “References” and is arranged in alphabetical order.

The references must be formatted according to the APA (American Psychological Association) style requirements: https://apastyle.apa.org/

The list of references must be presented in alphabetical order and contain at least 15 sources, including relevant and recent works published by well-known researchers on the topic (do not forget to include sources in English). When archives are mentioned for the first time, their full name is written with the accepted abbreviation in parentheses. Further references may use only the abbreviation, for example: Central State Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan (CSA RK).

“References” is the bibliographic information in English, representing the transliterated version of the list of references. All sources written in non-Latin scripts must be transliterated into Latin script (http://www.translit.ru). After transliteration, the title of the work is translated into English in square brackets, and the original language of the source is indicated in round brackets (In Kazakh / In Russian).
When citing books, the name of the publisher (if it is an institutional name) and the place of publication are translated into English; in all other cases, they are transliterated.

Graphs, figures, and photographs must be placed after their first mention in the text with a reference in brackets. A maximum of five illustrations is allowed per article.
Figure captions are placed below the figure and numbered consecutively: Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 3, etc.
Each table must have a title placed above the table, numbered consecutively: Table 1, Table 2, Table 3, etc.
If only one figure or table is used in the text, it is not numbered.
