Preparation of Future Teachers for the Analysis of Works of Modern Fine Art

The article examines the work of Kazakhstani contemporary artists Moldakul Narymbetov, Saule Suleimenova, and Almagul Menlibayeva, who are engaged in contemporary fine art. For the training of future teachers, the article discusses how methods of analyzing works belonging to this type of fine art can be applied in the classroom. Classes focusing on theoretical approaches as well as artistic and comparative analyses of textbooks and exhibition catalogs were conducted. Within the empirical framework, 11 questions related to the concepts of contemporary fine art, photo art, video art, and installation were developed for students. The results of students‘ responses at the initial and final stages of the study were compared, and statistical analysis was used to draw quantitative conclusions.
During the research, the teacher employed a range of instructional methods to familiarize students with contemporary fine art, including museum visits, participation in exhibitions, lectures and guided reading, organization of online courses, participation in master classes, interviews with artists and exhibition managers, exploration of various artistic fields, and the development of critical thinking and analytical skills. By mastering these methods, students gained a deeper understanding of contemporary art and demonstrated improved academic performance. The purpose of the article was to explore effective ways of teaching future educators to develop a profound understanding of art through the analysis of contemporary fine art works. The relevance of the article lies in examining emerging approaches to presenting information about photo art, video art, and installation, reflecting the fact that visual art is constantly evolving, with new technologies and modes of interpretation continually emerging.
