Comparison of Voice Categories in Kazakh and English

The primary aim of the study, presented in this article, is to identify the functional connections between the categories of voice in Kazakh and English through comparative analysis. The significance of the article lies in the comparative examination of the semantic and functional aspects of voice categories in both languages; exploring the roles of active and passive voice within the language structure and contributing to the formation of new knowledge in the field of linguistics. The article addresses the issue of reintegrating the active voice into modern Kazakh linguistics. Its functional significance within sentences is elucidated by comparing it with the “active voice” in English. It is demonstrated that the semantic aspects of the active voice in both languages are equally capable of conveying emotional impact to the reader and deepening thematic development. The functionality of the passive voice is strategically used in texts of both languages to highlight the consequences of actions and emotional depth. The results of the research enable the formation of new knowledge in linguistics, clearly demonstrate functional connections in language structure, and enhance understanding of language development dynamics. The semantics of the passive voice allow for a deeper insight into the internal world of the actors, as evidenced by the analysis in the article. Comparing the categories of voice in Kazakh and English underscores the need for a comprehensive analysis of linguistic phenomena in the applied specialization of the Kazakh language. These studies contribute to the development of theoretical and methodological foundations in the field of linguistics. The findings reveal the functional and semantic aspects of voices in both languages, highlighting their importance in the field of linguistics. The research methods of the article align with the goals and objectives of the study in linguistics, and the analysis of examples taken from texts in Kazakh and English enables an investigation into the use of voice categories. The semantic meanings of the voices are determined. Comparing the voice categories in Kazakh and English provides an opportunity to better understand the grammatical and semantic connections between languages and contributes to linguistics.
