Rules for publication
Publication of materials in the journal is carried out through the online submission and peer-review system Open Journal System (https://journals.ayu.edu.kz).
Requirements for Articles:
- The journal accepts previously unpublished articles only. Articles must be submitted in electronic format (doc, docx) by uploading them to the journal website http://journals.ayu.edu.kz (Open Journal System).
- The optimal length of a scientific article (excluding the title, author information, and reference list) should be no less than 3000 words and no more than 4000 words.
- Paragraph indent – 1 cm; line spacing – single; margins: top – 2 cm; bottom – 2 cm; right – 2 cm; left – 2 cm. Font size – 12; font type – Times New Roman. Page numbering is not required.
- Figures, tables, graphs, diagrams, etc., must be numbered and titled within the text (e.g., Figure 1 – Title of the figure). The number of figures, tables, graphs, and diagrams must not exceed 20% (in some cases 30%) of the total article volume. Tables must be numbered and titled and must be referenced in the text.
First Page:
- UDC (Universal Decimal Classification), IRSTI code (State Rubricator of Scientific and Technical Information, https://grnti.ru/), and ORCID (http://orcid.org/, Open Researcher and Contributor ID) must be indicated.
- The name, academic degree, affiliation (address), city, country, and email address of the author(s) of the article must be provided in Kazakh, Russian, English, or Turkish (if the article is in Turkish), along with their affiliation. Author information must be presented in lowercase and italicized.
- Full author details (full name, academic degree, place of work, address, mobile phone number, email address) must be submitted in a separate file.
- The article title should reflect the content of the scientific work. The title should be specific, informative, and understandable. To attract the reader's attention, it is advisable to avoid sensational topics. The article title should be written in Kazakh, Russian, English, or Turkish (if the article is in Turkish) in capital letters and bold.
- All articles are checked using the “Antiplagiarism” program and are accepted for publication only if the originality rate exceeds 75%.
- The abstract should contain between 150 and 300 words and be presented in three languages (Kazakh, Russian, English or Turkish (if the article is in Turkish)). The abstract is a brief description of the purpose and content, basic form and features of the article.
- Key words/phrases – a set of words describing the content of the text in terms of the scientific field and research methods. The number of keywords is 7-10. Each phrase should not exceed 3 words and should be presented in three languages (Kazakh, Russian, English or Turkish (if the article is in Turkish)). Key words should reflect the main content of the article and be based on the terms used in the text and important concepts defining the subject area.
Article Structure:
- The main text must include the purpose, objectives, background/history of the issue, research methods, discussion of results, and conclusions.
- In the introduction, the author presents the topic, objectives and relevance of the study. This section presents the authors’ hypothesis and methods for testing it.
- The research methods and materials section should describe the methods and techniques used in the scientific work.
- Analysis and results constitute the main part of the article. This section should present arguments supported by theoretical analysis of the obtained results. Research results may be presented in textual form, as well as in tables, diagrams, and statistical indicators.
- In the conclusion, the author summarizes the research findings and expresses their final viewpoint based on the results.
- Funding information (if applicable) should be provided at the end of the article in italics, in the language of publication. Sources of funding (grants, joint projects, etc.) must be indicated.
References:
- References must be provided in the original language and in transliteration in Latin letters (References) (https://www.translit.ru).
- The article must include at least 10 references.
- The journal uses a sequential citation system: references are indicated in the text in square brackets according to their order and must correspond to the numbering in the reference list.
- The reference list must be formatted in accordance with GOST 7.1–2003 (author’s surname and initials, title of the work, place of publication, publisher, year, volume, issue number, total number of pages, etc.).
- The article must comply with all ethical standards. Whenever possible, authors are encouraged to cite articles published in the journals “Yasaui University Bulletin” and “Turkology.”
- The journal accepts articles from authors from near and far abroad, including the Republic of Kazakhstan. The journal's e-mail: khabarshi.iktu@ayu.edu.kz.
- Scientific articles are sent for publication after double-blind peer review by university scholars and researchers from other institutions and upon the decision of the editorial board.
- Manuscripts are edited and not returned to authors. The editorial board is not responsible for the content of the articles.
Article Length
- The total length of the article, including the abstract, references, and notes, must be 3000–4000 words.
