Özet

The formation of concepts and their systems in the school mathematics course is the main component of the educational process. This process contributes to a deeper assimilation of mathematical knowledge by students and their effective application to solve life and professional problems in the future. In this context, it is very important to form the basic concepts that form the basis of mathematics. Proper and deep assimilation helps students to master the material more effectively in the subsequent stages of learning. Unfortunately, at present, insufficient assimilation of mathematical concepts by students leads to a decline in the quality of knowledge, which indicates the relevance of the problem under consideration.
This article discusses the meaning and stages of the formation of mathematical concepts and their systems. The assimilation of mathematical concepts plays an important role in the development of students' logical thinking. The research provides a review of scientific papers on this topic, analyzes the theoretical foundations, stages involved in concept formation, their meaning and effectiveness, and provides specific examples. Since mathematical concepts are closely interrelated, they must be considered from the point of view of forming a system of concepts. For example, key mathematical concepts such as identity, equation, and inequality are studied systematically throughout the entire school mathematics course. Their proper formation contributes to the successful assimilation of such logical operations as comparison, generalization, and abstraction. The conclusions presented in the article can contribute to improving the teaching methods of mathematics, enhancing the quality of mathematical education, and developing a deeper understanding of the subject among students.
