Editorial policy of the journal

Manuscript Publication Frequency

"The Bulletin of Yassawi University" is published online and in print quarterly, in March, June, September, and December. The first issue is released on March 30, the second on June 30, the third on September 30, and the fourth on December 30 of the current year.

Requirements for Manuscript Publication

"The Bulletin of Yasawi University" accepts manuscripts from authors that have not been previously published and that align with the journal’s thematic focus, in Kazakh, Turkish, Russian, or English.

Manuscripts must strictly adhere to submission requirements. The corresponding author must submit the manuscript at least two months before the next issue's publication. Manuscripts should contain a minimum of 3,000 and a maximum of 7,000 words, and articles in English must not be less than 10 pages.

Manuscripts must be submitted electronically, including full metadata and author information.

Authors should ensure the manuscript is original and unpublished in any other publication, in print or digital form. Authors are responsible for their research findings' accuracy, originality, and substantiation. During the review process, or after publication, authors are not allowed to submit the manuscript elsewhere.

Communication between the editorial board and authors or reviewers occurs through the OJS electronic platform, or by email if necessary.

Authors submit two versions of the manuscript to the editorial office: one version includes author information (name, academic degree, affiliation, etc.). The journal’s editorial staff checks the manuscript's compliance with technical requirements.

Manuscripts undergo mandatory anonymous peer review organized by the editorial office, after which the editorial board and scientific editor decide whether to accept or reject the manuscript for publication. On average, it takes 8-9 months to decide on publication.

Articles are published based on readiness and in order of submission, and the editorial board reserves the right to form a sequence of articles according to the sections of upcoming issues.

Text Duplication and Plagiarism

The journal’s responsible secretary verifies articles for plagiarism per "Yassawi University Guidelines for Plagiarism Screening" (UE-KATU-100-2019) using the licensed system Antiplagiat.com (https://iktu.kz.antiplagiat.com). Manuscripts must be original and not intended for publication elsewhere. The originality of submitted articles must be at least 75%. Manuscripts that fail to meet this threshold or are found to contain AI-generated text are returned. Manuscripts meeting or exceeding 75% originality and conforming to the journal’s profile and requirements are accepted for review.

Peer Review Process

All submitted articles undergo a double-blind review process (the reviewer does not know the author, and vice versa). Peer reviews are conducted by experts from relevant educational and scientific fields, both domestic and international.

The editorial board selects specific reviewers, with a review period of 2-4 weeks, extendable if requested by the reviewer. Each reviewer is entitled to decline the review if there is a clear conflict of interest. Review outcomes may be:

"Accept the article" – if it meets research significance and quality standards without remarks.

"The article requires revision" – the article is sent back to the authors for corrections as per the reviewer’s comments. The manuscript may be considered for publication without further review.

"Resubmit for review" – the article is returned to authors for additional modifications. Once revised, the editorial office may send it back to the same reviewer, and if substantial issues persist, the manuscript undergoes a third review. If minor issues remain on the third review, it may be accepted or rejected, subject to editorial discretion.

"Reject the article" – if the second review is positive, a third reviewer is consulted. If this review is also negative, the article is rejected based on the editorial decision.

After the reviews, the editorial board discusses and makes the final decision on acceptance or rejection. Before publication, accepted articles undergo pre-press preparation and technical editing to ensure compliance with formatting standards.
