This article offers an in-depth analysis of expressive techniques used in the ―köñil-qosh‖ (farewell or mood-setting) genre of Kazakh poetry. Expressiveness in poetry serves as a primary means for poets to convey their inner feelings, thoughts, emotions, and perspectives on society and nature through a vividly crafted artistic language. The article explores the significance of figurative language elements such as metaphors, epithets, hyperboles, and other expressive devices in poetic composition. It examines how poets portray emotional states, worldviews, and profound themes, including life and death, love and hatred, happiness and sorrow. The study discusses the ways in which expressive techniques enhance the emotional and aesthetic impact of a poem. It also investigates the national characteristics of expressive tools in Kazakh poetry and their connection to cultural traditions and the national worldview.
Furthermore, the article delves into the theoretical literary framework underpinning these techniques, their function in poetic language, and their influence on readers and listeners.
