Özet

The article is devoted to the analysis of archival documents related to the political persecution of the prominent state and public figure publicist Sultanbek Kozhanov. The decree of the head of state K.Tokayev on full rehabilitation of victims of political repressions in 2021 gave a new impetus to research on this topic. We believe that the analysis of the scientific problem on the basis of archival documents relating to individuals, implemented within the framework of the state programme will contribute to the actualization of the history of the Fatherland. Purpose and objectives. The principal objective of the study was to examine the reasons behind the political persecution of S. Kozhanov, with a particular focus on the analysis of archival documents. Consequently, the archaeological study of archival documents was conducted, new information was introduced into the scientific corpus, the methods of research were clarified, and the necessity to restore the history of the persecution of the figure was identified. Scientific and practical significance. In this article, we propose that the methodological conclusions and research experience related to the presentation of the investigative reports of S. Kozhanov can serve as a guide for research in this direction. The results obtained are as follows. The information contained in the documents of S.
