In the second half of the 20th – early 21st century, many well-known historical scientists worked in Uzbekistan. Despite the fact that these scientists lived mainly in Soviet times and worked ideologically during the period of the domination of communist ideology throughout society, they developed historical science in Uzbekistan and made a significant contribution to the progress and development of science in the republic during a difficult and controversial period. Among such selfless and hardworking Uzbek scientists, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Rano Yadgorovna Rajapova (1935-2005) stands out.
- Rajapova conducted her main scientific activity at two institutes in Tashkent: the Institute of History and the Institute of Party History. In both institutions with rich traditions and vast experience, which at that time were the centers of the history of Uzbekistan, he was formed as a well-known historian and theorist.
